Following the 40th anniversary celebrations of 007 in 2002, many of the
former Bond stars and
co-stars flew in to take part in publicity tours and
attend memorabilia shows in the UK and Europe, many of the actors could not
believe the continued popularity which had increased even moreso than when
the films were originally released.
Of course, many autograph dealers were keen to take advantage and sell on signed photographs for vasts sums of money. Some even decided to forge them and were subsequently prosecuted.
