Quantum of Solace Video Game Overview:
Activision's Quantum of Solace video game is a first-person shooter based on the events of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. The game was released on October 31, 2008 in Europe and November 4, 2008 in North America, which coincided with the movie's release. The game was the first James Bond title published by Activision; the company acquired the video game license to the James Bond franchise in 2006. The game has now been released on all major platforms and was developed by four different companies: Treyarch, Eurocom, Beenox, and Vicarious Visions.
Quantum of Solace is a historic release, as it is the first Bond game to be available for all next-gen video game consoles (Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii) at its release as well as for the PC and GameBoy DS. As for the gameplay, the Quantum of Solace video game uses the Call of Honor 4 engine and, though primarily a first-person shooter, it switchrd to a third-person view for various action scenes and stealth maneuvers.
