REVIEW: After a 12 year hiatus, Sean Connery returns to the series that made him famous. The movie is a remake of Thunderball that is nowhere near as good as the original. If it weren't for Connery, the movie would have tanked. However, he was back and better than ever delivering his lines as though he had never left. As for the movie, it was slow and uneventful for the most part. There was too much talk and not enough action. The supporting characters at MI6 were terrible and a disgrace to their MGM/UA counterparts. However, the supporting cast was incredible: Kim Bassinger, Max Von Sydow, and Klaus Maria Brandauer were all great in their roles and added greatly to the movie. Let's hope Sean never says never again.

NOTE: Never Say Never Again is NOT considered one of the official Bond films. The "official" Bond films are made by MGM/UA and at least one Broccoli. Never Say Never Again was made by Warner Bros and no Broccoli's worked on it. In fact, the film was released at the same time as Octopussy as a rival. It was a remake of Thunderball. That is not to say that it wasn't a good movie, just not one of the "official" series.

THIS MOVIE DIDN'T DESERVE SEAN CONNERY. THAT'S THE FIRST THING I'D LIKE TO SAY. IF HTIS IS A REMAKE OF THUNDERBALL I MISSED SOMETHING THE FIRST TIME AROUND. I THOUGHT LARGO'S FIRST NAME WAS EMILO AND DIDN'T PLAY DUMB VIDEO GAMES TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. THAT THEME SONG WAS WORSE THAN SOMETHING PLAYED ON A JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL BAND. SEAN CONNERY WAS LUCKY HE WAS AS FAMOUS AS HE WAS OTHERWISE HE WOULD HAVE BECOME A NEW GERORGE LAZENBY. NOTE: IN MY OPPINION KEVEIN McCLORY'S EXCUSE DOESN'T FLY BECAUSE LONGITUDE 78 WEST NEVER BECAME A MOVIE SO IT WAS AN IDEA THAT FLEMING SIMPLY CAPITALISED ON

Sean Connery is back,in this remakre of Thunderball. He gives a great performance,as usual, and looks even better than he did twelwe years before. The film has great venues and also great villains.Brandauer makes an excellent Largo, and Carrera is perfect as Blush.Pat Roach is denied enough screentime, but his Lippe is quite menacing.however, the movie has very few,but great,action-scenes,and after Blush`s death, the films pacing never really recovers.Edward Fox is awful as M,and Michael Legrand only narrowly defeats Eric Serra when it comes to writing the worst Bond-soundtrack ever.
